Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar is in western Tibet is home of pilgrimage for many religion. Main season of this tour is from May to September. Tibet kailash travel is operating small group tour Lhasa Kailash Kathmandu. Tour is starting from April and goes till October. Tour in month of May is on 26th May. It has option to join in Kathmandu Nepal or in Lhasa Tibet.

14 days tour itinerary on 26th May 2018 is to meet full moon day at Lake Manasarovar. First land at Lhasa, stay there for 2 nights. Visit main monuments in Lhasa, which also make your body acclimatize at high altitude. Drive to lake Manasarovar and Mount Kailash with staying in nights at Shigatse and in Saga. Involve 3 days Kailash Parikrama and drive to Kathmandu Nepal via Kerung boarder.

Kathmandu (1,300m) – Lhasa (3,650m)

Departure Transport to Tribhuban Airport and Trans – Himalayan flight to Tibet (Gongaar airport) (1hr.) Drive to Lhasa (1hr.) – Full rest for acclimatization

26th May

In Lhasa:  Full Day Sightseeing Tour In Lhasa/ Acclimatization 
Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Bazaar  – O/N at   Hotel.

Day 05

 

27th May

Drive Lhasa – Shigatse (350 km – 8/9 Hrs). After breakfast in your hotel drive to Shigatse which is the 2nd largest city of Tibet. Built in 1447 by the first Dalai lama the Tashilampo Monastery in Shigatse is a very important monastery in Tibet as it is known as seat of the Panchan Lama

Day 06

 

28th May

Drive Shigatse – Saga (450km – 9 hours).We start an early morning drive to Saga, please note this will be a long drive but on the way we can make enough stop and lunch. O/N at Local Guest House.

29th May

Drive Saga – Lake Manasarovar (410km – 8 Hours) The full moon day for pilgrimage, this is an auspicious day for all of us having first glimpse of the Holy lake Manasarovar and view of Mt. Kailash from The Horr Chu pass. Stay in Chiu Gompa,

30th May

Lake Manasarover to Darchen ( 4600m) 53km – 1 Hour

Visit Chiu Gompa and explore Lake Manasarover then drive to Darchen. Preparation day for the Kora

31st May

Darchen to Derapuk (4750m) 19km

Drive to Serchung and start Kora (trek) to Depapuk. It is 1 hour drive and another 5 hours easy walking

Day 10

 

1st Jun

Derakuk- Dolmala (5620m)- Zutulpuk 21km – 9 Hours Continue trek to Zutulphul cross over dolma- la Pass and walking down to Juthulpuk

Day 11

 

2nd Jun

Zutulphuk to Darchen to Saga – 3 hours walking and 6 hours driving

Finish of Kailash kora and reach at Saga. Trek about 10 Km to the point and take your transportation to drive back Saga via Darchen O/N at Guest House

Day 12

 

3rd Jun

Saga to Kerung 9270km – 6 Hours)

Scenic drive back to Kurung. Kerung is last Tibetan town near Nepal Tibet boarder.

Day 13

 

4th Jun

Drive to Rasuwagadi – Nepal Tibet immigration and cross. Good bye to Tibetan guide and driver. Drives continue to Kathmandu Nepal. (140 km – 8 Hours)

Extra info about the tour

  • Tour is small group tour as per itinerary
  • If group size is more than 6 peoples, we convert basic accommodation to standard accommodation in Kailash region with same cost. But 3 nights (Manasarovar and 2 nights in Kailash kora available only basic accommodation)
  • Tours also have option to join from Lhasa. In this case USD 435 is less from the tour cost. You also have to obtain Chinese visa in your country 
  • Tour including breakfast every morning. Lunch and dinner is extra can buy from local restaurants, hotels, guest houses. Similarly shops are available for drinks including drinking water
